Lopunny is a generation IV Pokémon which makes its debut in Pokémon Diamond/Pearl for the Nintendo DS. It is a Normal-type and is the final form of Buneary. It will evolve from Buneary if it has a high friendship with its trainer. In Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire Lopunny can Mega Evolve into Mega Lopunny if holding a Lopunnite, gaining the Fighting-type in addition to its Normal-type. These Pokémon can be both male and female, and there are no known visible differences between genders.
While Mega Evolved there are several noticeable differences to Lopunny's appearance. For one it looks more like a fighter, which goes well with its new Fighting-type. Its fluffy eyebrows look more like a large bow on its forehead and its ears lost a lot of their fluffiness, instead looking like hair with two fluffy points on each ear. The fur on its wrists now look more like super fluffy wristbands. Its fingers are also black and look like gloves. It also gains black on its neck, back and legs, and kinda looks like clothing. It also has brown spots on its legs which looks like those pants that have holes in them. The pale yellow fur on its legs only go up to its ankles and look like boots. Its usually brown fur also looks a little darker than normal. I personally love Lopunny's Mega Evolution form and it's definitely one of my favorites.
When comparing Lopunny's usual colors to its shiny form it makes me wish I had the patience to breed myself a shiny Lopunny because it seriously looks awesome. Alas I am not quite that patient so I'll have to stick with its normal colors instead. Oh well. The sort of pale yellow-colored fur on its eyebrows, ears, wrists, and legs are now pink and its usually brown fur is now a lighter shade of brown. The same colors go for Lopunny's Mega Evolution form as well.
