Flareon is a generation I Pokémon which makes its debut in Pokémon Red/Blue (or Pokémon Red/Green in Japan) for the Nintendo Gameboy. It is a Fire-type Pokémon and is one of eight final evolutions of Eevee, which can be obtained if Eevee is exposed to a Fire Stone. Flareon can be both male and female, but are mostly male. There are no known visible differences between genders.
Flareon's physical appearance looks something like that of a fox or cat, partly due to its large ears and fluffy tail. Flareon has orange/red fur covering its body and its mane and tail are yellow and very fluffy. Its mane is used to help keep its body cool due to its flame sac which can get pretty hot. It also has a tuft of fur on its head which is yellow as well, and has two large ears with some spiky fur along the top and black centers. It has a tiny black nose and black eyes, although in some cases they are known to have some green in them.
When comparing Flareon to its shiny form it's easy to see that it's different from normal, although personally I don't care for it that much. Its usually orange/red fur is now a sort of light brown and the usually yellow fur is a sort of lighter brown. It kinda looks a bit like Eevee's normal colors come to think of it when I think about it. Or is that just me?
