Do ya really wanna play?
Greetings and welcome to Dream Team, Crystal's Pokémon website collective. Here you will find all of my Pokémon related sites. This includes fanlistings and shrines––most of which are a combination of the two––and even a clique and a directory. I find building Pokémon sites addicting and impossible to make just one of. As you can see I have a ton of them so to keep them from taking over my domain I have this collective to keep things organized. If you happen to have any comments or questions regarding anything around the site feel free to contact me. Other than that enjoy your stay!
Featured Site.Cry to the Moon is my fanlisting for the Rock-type Pokémon Lycanroc from Pokémon Sun/Moon for the Nintendo 3DS. This site also features a tiny shrine which provides a basic introduction to Lycanroc and why I love this Pokémon. I have plans to one day turn this site into a shrine, but for now this will do just fine. Interested in finding out more? Then go check out the site!
The heart of the collective! All my Pokémon sites may be found below. Most of these are a combination of shrine and fanlisting while some are just fanlistings. I also have a clique and a directory. Check them out.
The Pokémon trainer.
Hello! My name is Crystal. If you're reading this you're likely curious about me and my Pokémon adventures, or you just happened to catch this while scrolling through the site. Well, to start things off my favorite type is Fairy, Inverse battles are my favorite kind of battles because they completely throw me off, Ruby/Sapphire and Black/White are closely tied for my favorite generation, and Pokémon Rangers are my favorite kind of trainer just because they look cool. When choosing Pokémon for my team I like to use Pokémon I think look cool and like to avoid overlapping types if at all possible (of course, this doesn't always work). I also seem to like using specific types during my playthroughs––I always have to have a Water, Fire, Flying and sometimes Grass on my team. I generally don't like to give my Pokémon nicknames because I am horrible at coming up with names (look at the name for this collective for example). I like to use my real name when I play the games, although I have used other names too.
I don't remember if it was watching the Clefairy episode of the anime on the TV or the boys in my classroom playing the video games together, but whichever it was I was first introduced to Pokémon in the 6th or 7th grade, which was way too many years ago. It is terrifying to think think that I've loved Pokémon for over half my life now. Despite being picked on super hardcore about it in school, I had completely fallen in love with the series. I would draw pictures of Pokémon and had even drawn several pictures of myself as a trainer. I'm still in love with Pokémon today, and although I don't draw so much anymore, instead creating websites to some of my favorite Pokémon, I will probably still love Pokémon for a long time yet.
I first played the games on the computer as I had a friend who was super into roms and emulators at the time. After I beat the Elite Four in one of the versions I soon bought myself a Gameboy Color and Pokémon Red (while my sister got Pokémon Blue), getting the first four badges in one day! I honestly don't know how I managed that because I have not been able to do it again since. Everything else after that is fuzzy, but I've actively bought a lot of the games since, with the exception of a few as my sister would get them instead so we could play together. Unfortunately she's not into the series anymore so I'm on my own now. Boooo! It still works out though because now I can play with my friends around the world!
Versions of the game I've owned include Red, Yellow, Gold, Crystal, Ruby, Emerald, LeafGreen, Diamond, Pearl, SoulSilver, White, Black 2, X, and Alpha Sapphire. I've also owned Stadium 1 & 2, Puzzle League, Colosseum, XD, and Ranger. I also play Battle Trozei, Shuffle, and Rumble World on my 3DS sometimes. I've tried Picross too but I completely awful at it and have since deleted it.
About the collective.
The Dream Team Pokémon collective has been online and open to the public since January 2014, but all it really had on it was sprite images linking to all my Pokémon sites. I didn't consider the collective an actual site until May 2, 2014 when I made a layout for it. As such I am calling it the collective's birthday. The name Dream Team was some random thing I came up with before I made a layout for the collective, and I ended up keeping it when I made the layout. I couldn't really think of anything better so it just kinda stuck. I think it works though seeing as the Pokémon I've shrined are part of what I would consider to be my dream team and are my favorites of favorites. I would so love a team with any six of these Pokémon in it. The reason for this collective was due to the increasing number of Pokémon related sites. I felt like they were taking over my domain and I thought making this site would be a fun idea to keep them all together.
Currently we are on version 3 of the site which features Primarina from the upcoming Pokémon Sun/Moon for the Nintendo 3DS. I am totally excited for this game and I am looking forward to having this Pokémon on my team. It's so pretty! ♥ The layout was made by me using Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and then coded by hand using Notepad. The image used was found at Bulbapedia and patterns used were found at Subtle Patterns. Textures used were from the late Aethereality.net. Fonts used are Century Gothic, and lyrics used are from the song "Do Ya Really Wanna Play?" from the Totally Pokémon soundtrack because I love that song and seem to like using it on every layout of this site. Previous layouts used may be found at my layout archive.
